You can now buy Gianni’s wine at Ralphs!! Gianni is going to be spending most his time in California during the month of November, while he opens up 40 new Ralphs locations.

Gianni spent last Sunday at the FERRAGOSTO FEAST over at Arthur Avenue with his friend, DAVID GRECCO at Arthur Avenue Cafe where he performed a live concert. On stage, GIANNI introduced MAYOR BLOOMBERG who joined GIANNI in dancing the Tarantela! Afterwards, GIANNI had a fabulous diner at Umberto’s Clam House where Matt Ianniello served his famous calamari and seafood.

Then it’s off to california where Gianni is still shooting the movie “Barry Minkow”

Gianni Russo is shooting a new movie with James Caan based on the real life story of Barry Minkow. Produced by Insomnia Media Group with Universal Pictures, this movie casts Russo opposite Caan for the first time in 40 years, since the filming of THE GODFATHER I. Caan busts Russo once again but this time with handcuffs and a warrant – not with a garbage pail cover.

The movie also casts Ving Rhames and Armand Assante and is based on the book by Jonathan Meyers. Gianni will be commuting back and forth from NY to LA for the next few months and will keep all of his obligations and appearances.

Gianni will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel to carry the Statue in a procession to the National Shrine that his Grandfather, Vito Luigi Russo, built after WWII.  Vito Luigi Russo, made an oath that if all three of his sons returned safely home after the war, he would build a shrine to the Virgin Mary. That is exactly what he did.

This National Shrine in Rose bank, Staten Island is a living testimony to the contribution of Italian Americans during WWII. Gianni will be performing at night during a free concert after the Procession.

Gianni has recently returned from his vineyards in Italy where he inspected new shipments and selected his new “Private Cellar” Wine Collection due out this Fall. It will be launched with two Supertuscan Wines.

He also selected four other wines for his “IL PADRINO” label which are entry level and doing extremely well.

In addition, He also performed to a sold out crowd at Feinstein’s and has many more singing engagements planned.

Gianni just returned from Chicago filming a TV pilot called “Prison Break” directed by Brett Ratner (director of Red Dragon & Rush Hour) and is currently filming a reality TV show called “Day In The Life Of” its filmed all over the country including the Dover Downs Casino in Dover, Delaware. So far, his guests include Tom Jones, Isaac Hayes, Sharon Stone, Jamie Foxx, and Ed McMahon. Stay tuned for details.
